Today we celebrate Father’s… and God has blessed me more than I could have dreamed. My own father is such an emulation of love, truth, belief… and that gave me such a solid place to grow.
Today I want to think about the father of my own children… and take a moment to write out some of the many things I appreciate about my loving Tobias.

You know when you’re dating someone, and you catch a glimpse of how you think they’ll make a great dad? I had no idea how that strapping guitar playing, football tossing with his campers man would continue to melt my heart with his love, trust and belief in our boys.

Thanks to my loving husband, I have never felt alone in raising our boys. He is a team player in every way— often doing more than his share of diapers, hair cuts, mess clean-ups…

He desires that our boys know every day how loved they are by both of us. His strong willingness to lead our boys into the saving knowledge of Jesus is a priority, and those wrestle fests on the floor are the things childhood memories are made of.

My boys have such an authentic role model, and are so loved by their daddy. And I just cannot help but give thanks. Wow, God must love me so much- thank you for the gift of watching Toby be the Dad you created him to be.

We got our first snow yesterday! It’s pretty fun— wet though! We haven’t been out in it too much yet— although we’re gearing up to go to camp tomorrow and get some great pics in it!
We’re spending the day wrapping gifts— drinking coffee (or chocolate milk :)) and enjoying the off day that Toby has! God is gracious to us :)

So again, it’s been awhile— it’s hard for me to get used to having a blog!
Luke had his 2 month check-up on the 9th— he was 12 lbs 13 oz, 23.5 inches long, and in the 75% for about everything! He got shots— and responded well to them! Sweet Luke is starting to really smile, and “coo” as we talk to him! He also is becoming a pro at pooping out his diapers, and into whatever outfit he’s wearing!
Joel is a little under the weather, but it doesn’t affect his activity level at all! We’re enjoying the first snowfall of the year here in Sweet Home— Toby’s working on video projects, and we’re all helping him (haha!).
God is gracious, and is always so good to our family. We are grateful for many things this Christmastime. New Pics to come soon…

At one month Sweet Luke was 10 lbs, 14 oz— and 22 inches long~ He’s in the 73-82% for both of those! Joel was 36 lbs and 37.5 inches tall— at 3 years (he’s around 75% for both! Praise the Lord for healthy babes!
My dear friend Amy came over today— and blessed us with a beautiful double stroller! We went for our first walk with the boys today! It felt SO good to be out walking in the cloudy, drizzly day— such a wonderful day, and I’m so tired this evening! Joel sure enjoyed it— and fell asleep tonight at 6pm— maybe he should have taken a nap! Sweet Luke is 4 weeks old today— I can’t believe how fast time goes…

Last night as we watched the elections, I was overcome with gratefulness! All four of us Winninghams sat on the couch as we watched history in the making. John McCain’s speech was incredible, gracious and hopeful… and as we taught Joel to say “President Obama” I couldn’t help but think of how this will be the first president he’ll remember in his lifetime! There was a beautiful moment as President Elect spoke to our nation for the first time, we all sat there soaking it in, and Joel had fallen asleep in my arms— as Luke did in Toby’s. What a moment in our lives— how gracious our God is to bless our family so, with the love of two beautiful, healthy boys!
